Describe the railway engineering problem

Use this gateway to place a railway engineering problem within the network.

The capacity of GRIN to deconstruct railway engineering problems in order to evolve the optimal railway solution is unique. Deconstruction enables the identification of novel cross-technology railway solutions and also reveals the capacity to advance good practice by drawing on established systems within other industrial sectors.

Deconstruct the problem by following the guidance and using the tools given below. Select gateway 4 to review the optimal cross-sector innovations for this problem and the extent of the technical and commercial risks involved in the delivery of these solutions to market

Construction of the Global Railway Innovation Network will be completed on 23 July 2007. Until this time, a temporary operational network and a simplified gateway layout has been put in place.
